There are many methods used by home brewers to filter hops and one of the most common method is use of a screen.
It is a rugged tube of 304 stainless steel screen 6"(150mm)/12"(310mm) in length, 1"(25.4mm) in diameter, with a 1/2"Male NPT fitting at one end.
The fitting will thread directly into the side of the pre-weld 1/2" Female NPT coupler of brew kettles/kegs, or into the back of any weldless ball valves, allowing you to better filter trub and whole hops from your wort while transferring from your kettle/kegs/coolers to your fermenter.
screen is not only used in filtering hops from the wort but it is also commonly used in mash tuns.
